Last updated: January 2026. The short version: we treat your data like it's our own — because we use Luvr too.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Luvr AI App ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use our website, mobile experience and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described below.

2. Who we are

Luvr AI App is operated by Luvr Technologies, a private company headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal. You can reach us any time at privacy@luvr-ai.app.

3. Information you give us directly

This includes your email address, chosen username, profile preferences, billing details (processed by our payment partners), and any messages, voice notes or media you exchange with your AI companion.

4. Information we collect automatically

When you use the Service we collect technical information such as your IP address, device type, browser, language, time zone, referring URLs and basic usage events. This helps us keep the platform stable and secure.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and measure how the Service performs. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time, but parts of the Service may stop working.

6. How we use your data

We use your information to: operate the Service, personalise your conversations, process payments, prevent fraud, send important account notices, improve the product, and comply with the law. We do not use your private chat content to train public AI models.

7. Legal basis for processing

Depending on your location, our legal grounds include the performance of our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in running the Service, and compliance with legal obligations.

8. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with trusted service providers — cloud hosting, payment processing, fraud prevention, customer support tools and analytics — under strict written contracts. We never sell your personal information.

9. International data transfers

Your information may be processed in countries outside your own. When it is, we use Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions or equivalent safeguards to protect it.

10. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards to handle disputes, fraud and legal requirements. Chat history is retained as long as you keep your companion or until you delete it.

11. Your account, your control

You can edit your profile, export your data, delete individual chats or wipe your entire account from inside the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

12. Your rights

Subject to your local laws, you may have rights to access, correct, port, restrict or delete your personal data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise any right, write to privacy@luvr-ai.app and we'll respond within 30 days.

13. Children's privacy

The Service is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we will delete the data promptly.

14. Sensitive content

Conversations on Luvr can be intimate by nature. We treat all message content as sensitive personal data and apply elevated protection, including encryption at rest and in transit.

15. Security measures

We use industry-standard safeguards: encryption, access control, audit logging, regular penetration tests and a vulnerability disclosure programme. No system is perfect, but we work hard to keep yours private.

16. Breach notification

If a security incident affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant regulators within the timeframes required by law.

17. Payments

Card details are processed directly by PCI-DSS compliant payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.

18. Advertising and analytics

We do not show third-party ads inside the chat. Aggregated, anonymised analytics may be used to understand how the product is used and to improve it.

19. Communications from us

We email you for account, billing and security reasons. Marketing emails are opt-in and you can unsubscribe with one click.

20. AI-generated content

Messages, voices and images created by your companion are produced by artificial intelligence. They are not real people and any resemblance to actual individuals is unintended.

21. Backups

Backups are encrypted and kept for a maximum of 30 days. Deleted data is also removed from rolling backups within this window.

22. Third-party links

The Service may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not own. Read their policies before sharing data.

23. California residents (CCPA)

You have the right to know what we collect, request deletion, opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and not be discriminated against for using your rights. We do not sell personal information.

24. EU/UK residents (GDPR)

You can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our EU representative can be reached at eu-rep@luvr-ai.app.

25. Do Not Track

We honour Global Privacy Control signals where supported. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track headers because there is no industry standard.

26. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be highlighted in the app and dated at the top of this page.
